My Top Ten

With all of the educational websites and help sites around it can be overwhelming to know which sites are appropriate and useful for a teacher. Hopefully this blog post will allow you to get a glimpse of some of the sites that I have found most useful. Regardless of what stage educator you are or what type of educator you are, you will be able to find something useful in this list.

Top Ten List



1. http://freetech4teachers.com/ This is a frequent blog that has wonderful encouragement and free resources for teachers that are looking for resources to implement into the classroom. It is user friendly and easy to check regularly.
2. http://www.thisweekineducation.com/ This site is a great read for keeping up with the top stories of each week.
3. http://ideasandthoughts.org/ This is a blog that gives great ideas to implement into any classroom at any grade level. They are basic ideas that incorporate 21st century learning.
4. http://www.educationworld.com/ This is a basic site that contains links to thousands of other sites full of tips, lesson plans, etc.
5. http://smithsonianeducation.org/ This site is linked to The Smithsonian Museum and contains wonderful Science and Social Studies integration videos, lessons, and projects.
6. http://www.educator.com/ This site is a general site that provides pratical resources for all educators to employ 21st century technology skills.
7. http://edupln.com/ This is an awesome PLN site that allows educators from all over the world to contribute and share ideas, projects, and encouragement. The information is neverending.
8. http://www.atozteacherstuff.com/ This site provides theme ideas and resources to go along with any age group. This is a great place to go for supplemental activities.
9. http://www.learningtoday.com/ This website allows teachers to manipulate the search engine so that you can find exactly what you are looking for. The teacher toolbox tab is always very helpful.
10. http://www.theteacherscorner.net/ This site is great at posting other schools and classes that are interested in collaborating on projects and pen pal activities. This is a great place to go to get a safe contact to begin a new project.
